Description
I created these earrings to serve as a reminder of our connection to nature, people and the world around us. Inspired by the grooved brain coral (Diploria labyrinthiformis) Each structure is actually a colony of several genetically identical animals living together. These polyps are so connected to one another, that if one gets sick the entire colony can get sick. Sometimes we feel alone and in a bubble disconnected from the world. I hope these earrings always serve as a reminder that you are not alone and are always connected to the world around you.
Each earring is hand textured so that each piece is unique.
A percentage of the proceeds from the IYUN collection will be donated to help in the replanting efforts of the Florida reef tract.
