Inspired by African traditional practices of art, adornment and clothing, we craft art that expresses the diversity of Africa and looks, to overcome the aesthetic cultural stereotypes. Zuri Perle pieces not only take you on a journey of discovering and experiencing the past, but also opens the door to a new and exciting interpretation of Africa in the here and now.
My name is Atinuke Adeleke, I am an interdisciplinary artist, a Graduate of the University of North Texas and the Owner and Lead Designer at Zuri Perle. My artistic practice centers around personal history, connection and identity, a reflection on my experience as a Nigerian who has lived on three continents thus far and how those experiences have led to the deconstruction, reassembly and hybridization of my identity. I pull from the varied cultures and experiences I've been exposed to and I create limited edition art that adorns the body and the home. All our pieces are crafted in Dallas, Texas
I am an alumni of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) and a member of the Greater Denton Arts Council
Zuri Perle body adornments have graced runways at New York Fashion Week and Kansas City Fashion Week. Our pieces have also been seen in Italiano L'Orafo, Weekly Style Magazine, Fox 4KC, Say Yes to the Dress, CNN Africa, Bead Style Magazine (US) and a couple of local publications in Nigeria.
I strive to exceed my clients' expectations in quality and service and I look forward to serving you.
