Description

“IYUN” is a Yoruba word that means “Coral”. Coral beads play a significant role in Yoruba culture and is worn to signify wealth and power.  This piece is Inspired by the grooved brain coral (Diploria labyrinthiformis). Each structure is actually a colony of several genetically identical animals living together, these polyps are so connected to one another, that if one gets sick the entire colony can get sick. IYUN OKAN I symbolizes the power in our connection to nature, people and the world around us.

This piece can be custom ordered in your preferred colors.
